Is there any reason to place the cords that travel from the upper lamms to the treadles in front (toward the front of the loom) of the lower lamms? I saw that done on Dueling Rabbits and was not sure if it is just when using a drawloom attachment. I was taught to place those cords behind the lower lamms.
It doesn't matter whether the cords from the countermarch go behind the shafts and the upper lamms, or in front of the shafts and upper lamms, they just need to follow the same path from the tippy top of the loom down to the lower lamms. I.e., you don't want to take the cords behind a shaft, but then in front of its lamm. I always take those cords behind the shafts and behind the upper lamms, just for consistency so I don't get confused. You could do it the other way, and the function would be identical.
Does that make sense?

It sure does make sense. Thank you Becky.
