Palmgren Projects
We are excited to present one new project each month from this comprehensive instructional weaving book, published by Sigrid Palmgren from 1923–1939. The book presents 138 projects in an enormous variety of weave structures, materials, and techniques. Here at Vävstuga we have been working our way through the book, reproducing these textiles to match the original as closely as possible with current materials, and find that there is plenty to learn from each project. We hope eventually to make this into our own book, but we are also we are presenting these projects month by month here on video, so our subscribers can start learning from these beautiful textiles right away. We really hope you enjoy this grand variety of Scandinavian weaving, as taught by a remarkable woman over a century ago.
